Principal,Dr.Manveer Singh, Principal suggested that young students are like blank paper where you can scribe any good thought and that would translate easily and fast into their actions. Thanks Mr Manshu and Nitivesh from ICanWin Foundation and DTCC Meerut for writing such a meaningful message regarding self control on tobacco addiction and motivating them to be volunteers of change in society and say goodbye to tobacco.

Tobacco sensitization program is supported by District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC, c/o Chief Medical Officer Meerut, Govt of UP), under the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) 2019-20 coverage.

Volunteers deliberated on the ill effects of tobacco on the youth, their family members and members in the society, overall health and financial burden in India and explained the relevance of SAVE the Youth – Win Over Tobacco program to control tobacco menace.

“Be Smart Do Not Start” comic booklet on tobacco awareness authored by Dr Pawan Gupta, MS MCH (National President of ICanWin Foundation and Sr Cancer Surgeon) was distributed among the 300 students and teachers; a quiz competition was conducted at the end to which students answered as per their understanding.

A Tobacco Control Committee consisting of 4 teachers was formed in the school to keep an eye on different tobacco related activities and its violation under COTPA 2003.Yellow line campaign conducted with a painting depicting the school as tobacco free zone.
