Doctors Training with ENT forum Ghaziabad 25.1.2020

CME with ENT doctors Ghaziabad 25.01.2020 at Citrus Hotel Ghaziabad
Interesting and interactive training program was conducted with ENT forum of Ghaziabad. Discussion ranged from treating of metastatic cancers and follow up of patients.
Diagnosing and dealing with residual diseases primary or secondary following treatment.

The presentation and deliberation during panel discussion by senior doctors  - Dr Vikash Goswami, Dr Gagan Saini, Dr Sowrabh Arora, Dr Ritu Chandra, Dr Amit Tyagi, Dr Sumit Sharma

Rehabilitation of cancer patients by Dr Sumit Sharma was very interesting.

Dr Pawan Gupta highlighted the overall treatment and prevention including tobacco cessation.
Presence of young doctors and DNB trainee made the discussion pitch higher.

Senior ENT Doctors of Ghaziabad - Dr Om Bir Singh and Dr B P Tyagi were present among others.

Noida ENT forum - Doctors Training Program CME 15.02.2020

A CME program with Noida ENT forum was conducted on 15th January 2020.
it was quite an discussion meet with good interaction. Two cases was discussed.
The interesting part was the interest of all the Doctors to know more on tobacco cessation methodology and about the #savetheyouth #winovertobacco #knowtobacco Campaign

Tobacco Enforcement Workshop at Bulandshahar, UP, on 27th March 2018

Orientation program of Law Enforcers: COTPA 2003 workshop was hosted by the DTCC Bulandshahar, UP, under the leadership of Dr. K N Tiwari, Chief Medical Officer and Dr Lalit Kumar, Nodal Officer NTCP, on 27th March, 2018.

Discussion on different provisions under COTPA was elaborated by Mr. Rabindra N Mishra, Lawyer & Program Coordinator of ICanCaRe, as to how the social aspect of the addiction is to be considered while implementing COTPA provisions and on a closing note he suggested that this orientation program is the right beginning of Tobacco Awareness and Sensitization of the Enforcement Officers in Bulandshahar District to curb the tobacco menace from the society. The emphasis was mainly on implementation of COTPA provisions in order to curb illegal tobacco trading and also issue of Challan to offenders and reporting. Mr Mishra introduced “SAVE the Youth - Win over Tobacco” initiative under the guidance of Dr Pawan Guta, President of ICanWin Foundation, as a successful social outreach tool for Tobacco control among the youth and empower the posterity with awareness and sensitization about Tobacco and its hazards.

The program coordination was done very efficiently by Mr. Sandip Tripathy, District Consultant NTCP and other valued officials from DTCC Bulandshahar.  Addl Chief Medical Officers, District Malaria Officer, Medical Officer I/c, Medical Officers, Health professionals from different Hospitals, CHCs and PHCs of Bulandshahar district attended (total participants: 40) the workshop. All the participants pledged to refrain from using tobacco throughout their life and to make a "Win over Tobacco" a social revolution by influencing others to quit tobacco.

NTCP - DTCC Aligarh Law Enforcers Orientation on 29.1.2018 SAVE - WIN OVER TOBACCO

SAVE THE YOUTH-WIN OVER TOBACO
Law Enforcers Orientation Program on 29.1.2018
In colloboration with  - ICAN WIN FOUNDATION - ICANCARE

Orientation program of Law Enforcers: COTPA 2003, one day session, was hosted by the DTCC Aligarh under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer, on 29.01.2018;  jointly convened by ICanWin – ICanCaRe Team under its “SAVE the Youth - Win over Tobacco” program, the coordination was done very efficiently by Dr. S P Singh, Nodal Officer - NPCDCS/ DTCC Aligarh, Ms. Ragini Singh, Fin. Consultant, DTCC Aligarh, and Mr. Satish Tripathy, State Consultant, STCC UP Lucknow. Technical advice for program was offered by Dr. Pawan Gupta, Sr. Cancer Surgeon – President ICanWin Foundation.

A total of 90 Enforcement Officers (from Health, Police, Law Tribunal, Food, Drugs, Transport, Labour, Education, Sales Tax, Excise and Industries Depts) attended the Orientation program of Law Enforcers: COTPA 2003 program where the emphasis was mainly on implementation of COTPA provisions in order to curb illegal tobacco trading and also issue of Challan to offenders and reporting of the booking through Monthly Crime Reports of the Police. The interactive session with the focus on ill effects of tobacco use on health and productivity of an individual emphasized on the necessity of enforcing an effective COTPA provision that should prove as a detrimental mechanism against the wrong doers in the tobacco trade and discourage trading of tobacco in the society. Discussion on different provisions under COTPA was elaborated by Mr. Rabindra N Mishra, Lawyer & Program Coordinator of ICanCaRe. Special commentaries were also shared by Addl Director (Health), CMO, and Secretary- Legal Tribunal, Aligarh, as to how the social aspect of the addiction is to be considered while implementing COTPA provisions. On a closing note it was suggested by that this orientation program is the right beginning of Tobacco Awareness and Sensitization of the Enforcement Officers in Aligarh District to curb the tobacco menace from the society.
