He firmly believes that there is no family which believes in giving bad food or things to their children. We should break the myths related to tobacco and sensitize the village households about the poisonous/ diseases related to this killer substance.

Tobacco sensitization program is supported by District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC, c/o Chief Medical Officer Bulandshahar, Govt of UP), under the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) 2019-20 coverage.

Volunteers deliberated on the ill effects of tobacco on the youth, their family members and members in the society, overall health and financial burden in India and explained the relevance of SAVE the Youth – Win Over Tobacco program to control tobacco menace.

“Be Smart Do Not Start” comic booklet on tobacco awareness authored by Dr Pawan Gupta, MS MCH (National President of ICanWin Foundation and Sr Cancer Surgeon) was distributed among the 206 students and teachers; a quiz competition was conducted at the end to which students answered as per their understanding.

A Tobacco Control Committee consisting of 4 teachers was formed in the school to keep an eye on different tobacco related activities and its violation under COTPA 2003.Yellow line campaign conducted with a painting depicting the school as tobacco free zone.

Principal Mrs.Geeta Rani Sharma said that tobacco causes cancer and brain stroke, and for both diseases india will not have any mature or permanent therapy or treatment.
