Principal,Mr. Premveer Singh, Principal admitted that ICanWin Foundation and DTCC Meerut tobacco sensitization program shall bring in changes in our society and make it a addiction free one. You would. See that Meerut shall be an example in entire UP as we pledge not take tobacco in any form nor allow anyone we know of to use tobacco throughout life.

Tobacco sensitization program is supported by District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC, c/o Chief Medical Officer Meerut, Govt of UP), under the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) 2019-20 coverage.

Volunteers deliberated on the ill effects of tobacco on the youth, their family members and members in the society, overall health and financial burden in India and explained the relevance of SAVE the Youth – Win Over Tobacco program to control tobacco menace.

“Be Smart Do Not Start” comic booklet on tobacco awareness authored by Dr Pawan Gupta, MS MCH (National President of ICanWin Foundation and Sr Cancer Surgeon) was distributed among the 120 students and teachers; a quiz competition was conducted at the end to which students answered as per their understanding.
A Tobacco Control Committee consisting of 4 teachers was formed in the school to keep an eye on different tobacco related activities and its violation under COTPA 2003.Yellow line campaign conducted with a painting depicting the school as tobacco free zone.

Principal,Mr. Sanjey Rana, the principal I/c commented that self discipline is the best way to adopt a tobacco free life and also students need to volunteer for ICanWin foundation and bring in changes in the society that can sanitize from tobacco and be sensitized towards this menace.

Tobacco sensitization program is supported by District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC, c/o Chief Medical Officer Meerut, Govt of UP), under the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) 2019-20 coverage.

Principal,Mr. Vikas Janrath, the students informed ICanWin foundation volunteers that two of teaching staff members are habituated tobacco users and students are confused as to how to discipline them and counsel them. Principal was informed about the same and he assured to first inform them to refrain from using tobacco and if necessary to register for counseling/ quit.

Principal,Mrs. Parul Choudhary, principal was of very high opinion about the tobacco sensitization program by DTCC and ICanWin foundation and students shared their experience about tobacco exposure within their families as some of them are using active way and hence exposing other members passive way. Students pledged to act as volunteers and social change makers and bring in a revolution in understanding about tobacco so as to make India tobacco free.

Principal,Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mentioned his own experience from his childhood when he was attracted by the sound of Desi Hukka and tried few puff. And fell unconcios.when he regand his senses and explain elders about the same he was advised to keep away from hukka because its poisonous and addictive. He believes that tobacco in many types attract through sound smoke flavoured etc and one should being trapped.
