GROUP DISCUSSION
“Role of Practitioners in Cancer Control
- Present scenario and future commitments”
Venue: Studio 220, Sector 9, Faridabad
Date: Sunday, 21st February, 2010
Time: 7:00 P.M
Worldwide, cancer causes more deaths than AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria combined. Cancer will touch each and every one of us in our lifetime. Cancer is no more a mystery. 60% of the cancers are either preventable or curable with early detection and prompt treatment. But still in our Country 80% of the patients come in advanced stage! Can we do something about it?
Indian Cancer winners association is a New Delhi based non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to remove the trauma associated with Cancer in our society. With an objective to raise awareness about cancer, promote early detection and motivate cancer patients to lead life with a positive and winning attitude; ‘I CAN WIN’ organizes Workshops, Round table discussions, Conferences & Rehabilitation camps to achieve its goals. Indian Cancer Winners’ Association believes in “WINNING OVER CANCER” rather than just overcoming or surviving it. To win over cancer every person should have access to cancer information and care.
The Indian Cancer Winners Association strives to bring the professionals-physicians-patients-public (4P) together to win over this disease which can just affect anyone.
With the help of this 4P model and technology we are establishing Chapters in various grade II and III cities and towns. We have active Chapters at Faridabad, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi and plan to have more soon.
This meeting for the first time in Faridabad is being organized to bring together the important people of the city who can make a difference. Join us as we build an army of strength to rid the world of an international killer that knows no borders and sees no color, race, religion, age or socioeconomic demographics. It is a global issue in need of support from a worldwide network.
Means are many but mission is only one… "Win over Cancer".
